Frequently Asked Questions — PET Preform Molds & Blow Molding

Below are the questions we hear most often from bottling plants, packaging engineers, and procurement teams. If you do not see your question here, send it to us directly.

Q: What is the typical delivery time for a PET preform mold?

A: Delivery time varies by mold complexity and cavity count. Most standard PET preform molds are ready in approximately 45–55 days after drawing confirmation. Large multi-cavity molds or custom neck finishes may add one to two weeks. We confirm the real lead time when we quote, not a marketing number.

Q: Can you match my existing blow molding machine?

A: Yes. We design PET bottle molds and blow molds to match your machine’s clamp stroke, heating tunnel, and indexing motion. Send us your machine spec sheet or brand and model, and our engineers will confirm compatibility before cutting steel.

Q: What bottle shapes and sizes can you produce?

A: Round, oval, square, and custom shapes are all possible. Standard neck finishes include PCO 1881, PCO 1810, 30/25, and 38 mm. Custom neck finishes are available on request. Bottle volume ranges from small pharma bottles up to large industrial containers.

Q: Do you provide mold testing before shipment?

A: Yes. Every PET preform mold and blow mold is tested on our in-house blow molding machines before packing. You can receive sample bottles and a test report before the mold ships. This avoids surprises when the mold arrives at your plant.

Q: Can I order both the preform mold and the blow mold from you?

A: Yes. We supply matched PET preform molds and bottle blowing molds from one source. This reduces interface risk between the preform and bottle stages, and it speeds up line commissioning because both molds are designed to work together.

Q: What is the difference between a linear blow mold and a rotary blow mold?

A: A linear blow mold is built for straight-line machines where preforms move in a straight path through heating and blowing stations. A rotary blow mold mounts on a rotating turntable and is designed for high-speed continuous production. Rotary molds typically handle higher output; linear molds offer more flexibility for smaller runs.

Q: Do you offer cap molds and handle molds as well?

A: Yes. We manufacture cap molds for water, beverage, and oil closures, as well as handle molds and ring lifting molds for large bottles. These can be ordered together with your PET preform mold and blow mold for a complete tooling package.

Q: What information do I need to provide for a quote?

A: For a fast and accurate quote, send us:

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes. We ship molds and machines to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Molds are packed in wooden crates with moisture barriers. Machines are shipped in containers with full loading and unloading instructions.

Q: What after-sales support do you provide?

A: We provide installation guidance, operator training materials, and remote technical support. For large projects, our engineers can visit your plant for commissioning. Spare parts for hot runners, valves, and wear components are kept in stock for fast delivery.
