Case Studies — HEYANMOLD PET Solutions

Below are selected projects that show how HEYANMOLD approaches PET preform molds, blow molds, and blow molding machines in real production environments. Each case includes the customer’s challenge, our solution, and the measured outcome.

Case 1: Water Bottling Plant — Southeast Asia

Customer: A mineral water producer in Thailand running three production lines.

Challenge: They needed to increase output from 8,000 to 15,000 bottles per hour without buying a completely new line. Their existing rotary blow molding machine was underutilized because the old mold could not run at full speed without misalignment.

Solution: We supplied a 24-cavity rotary blow mold matched to their existing machine clamp stroke and heating tunnel. At the same time, we delivered a new 48-cavity PET preform mold with optimized cooling channels to keep cycle times uniform at high output.

Result: The line reached 14,500 bottles per hour within three weeks of installation. The customer reordered two additional molds for their other lines six months later.

Case 2: Edible Oil Packaging — Middle East

Customer: A cooking oil brand in the UAE packaging 5L containers.

Challenge: They wanted to switch from glass to PET to reduce transport breakage and lower packaging weight. The 5L bottle needed a ring lifting carrier strong enough to pass their drop test from 1.2 meters.

Solution: We designed a ring lifting mold co-engineered with the PET bottle mold and rotary blow mold. The ring was thickened at the stress points and the neck finish was reinforced to take the load without deforming.

Result: The handle strength passed the transport drop test on the first trial. The bottle clarity met retail shelf standards. The customer placed a follow-up order for a second mold set within four months.

Case 3: Cosmetic Startup — Europe

Customer: A new cosmetic brand in Poland preparing their first product launch.

Challenge: They needed 5,000 bottles for a market test but did not want to invest in a full automatic line before confirming demand. They also needed flexibility to change bottle design quickly if the first shape did not sell.

Solution: We supplied a semi-automatic blow molding machine and a 2-cavity PET bottle mold. The machine allowed fast mold changeover, and the low cavity count kept tooling cost down for the pilot run.

Result: The customer ran 5,000 bottles for their first launch and collected market feedback. Six months later, they upgraded to a full automatic line with a 12-cavity rotary blow mold from us. The original semi-automatic machine was kept as a backup for seasonal runs.

Case 4: Carbonated Beverage — South America

Customer: A soft drink bottler in Brazil expanding from 500 ml to 2 L bottles.

Challenge: The larger bottle required thicker walls and a different neck finish, but the customer wanted to keep the same blow molding machine. The new mold had to fit the existing clamp and heating tunnel.

Solution: We designed a new PET bottle mold with adjusted cavity depth and cooling layout for the thicker 2 L wall. The neck finish was changed to PCO 1881 to match their cap supplier. The mold was built to the same mounting dimensions as their existing tool.

Result: The new mold dropped into the machine with no mechanical modifications. First-shot bottles were within spec. The customer expanded to a second production line using the same mold design one year later.

Why These Cases Matter

Each of these projects shows a different side of what we do:

We do not sell off-the-shelf molds and hope they fit. We read your drawing, check your machine spec, and confirm the numbers before cutting steel. That is why customers come back.
